As the Flyers skate into the week with a four game winning streak with three straight coming on the road, the orange and black shoot back up the standings. As of Tuesday, the Flyers sit at second in the Metro, just two points below the Rangers.
In what seemed like a year that was going to be like another rebuild year, the Flyers could mess around and see some playoff hockey come springtime. After going 3-0 on the road and beating the NHL's best team in Winnipeg, the Flyers playoff chances have shot from 53% two days ago, to 69% today.
Something that bodes extremely well for the Flyers, is the remainder of their schedule. The Flyers have gotten all of their tough road trips out of the way, and won't have to play another game later than 8:00p.m. EST this season.
The Flyers will be able to settle in and gain comfort on their home ice. Not only is the bulk of travel out of the way for the Flyers, but they also have shown they can beat top talent in the NHL. Wins over Vegas, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Colorado, the Flyers have shown they can skate with the leagues best.
