With Monday night's 4-2 victory in St. Louis over the Blues, the Flyers continue to not only turn heads of the entire league, but the orange and black shoot up the standings and have fans feeling playoff fever. The Flyers are currently winners of four straight, with three straight coming on the road.

As of Tuesday morning, the Philadelphia Flyers currently sit at second in the Metro Division which is shaping up to be a tight race. After the Flyers fell all the way to fourth in the division to start the new year, the team has rebounded and begun to climb atop the standings again.
The Flyers jumped past Carolina last night as they sit in second place with a 24-14-5 record with 54 points; just two points behind the New York Rangers who sit in first place with 56 points.

Although proud of his team, head coach John Tortorella doesn't want to anoint his team yet. Torts is focused on the task at hand and the next game and wants his players to have that same mentality.
"«That's what's good about our group. They come to work each and every day and attack that day. That's how we've been going about it and it's what we'll continue to do.»
After the Flyers struggled to end their road trip at the end of the December, the group responded on their most recent road trip, going 3-0 including a win against the NHL's top team in Winnipeg. Something impressive to note about the Winnipeg win was that it came on the second night of a back-to-back where the Flyers not only won an overtime game in Minnesota, but had to travel to Winnipeg right after and didn't get in until late.
As much as the group is staying focused, its hard for fans not to get excited about this team. In what seemed like a year that was going to be a loss, has turned into a season that seems like the Flyers have a legit chance at making their first playoff appearance since the Covid-19 bubble in Toronto in 2020.
