In spite of the fact that Gauthier does not have an enforcer's game, many NHL GMs find him to be a tough customer on ice.

Described as a 200-foot player and a power forward, he is an ideal player that every team wants.
Cutter gets crushed, gets up, the puck finds him for a clean look from the right circle and he whistles it off the post.

I can't say this enough, his release is one of the best ive ever seen. Genuinely ever, like, in the sport. One of the best. Easily.

As well as that, he is willing to fight for the puck in the dirty areas on the ice, and this play above demonstrates his capabilities to the Philly faithful.
After getting destroyed on the ice by a player from Maine, Brandon Holt, Gauthier would get up to receive the puck and would quickly find a great lane to take a shot.
Due to his physicality and ability to play in all three zones, Gauthier has been described as a rare pick in the 2022 draft class.
In the clip, he shows his versatility, speed, and skill to the fullest extent.
In 8 games with Boston College, Gauthier has 8 goals and 2 assists for 10 points and a +3 on ice.
