Ever since Shane Wright just the Ontario Hockey League as a exceptional status player he was projected to go first overall when he was draft eligible.
Well July 7th has come and gone and Wright going first overall didn't come to futition. The Canadiens would choose Slovakia born Juraj Slafkovsky.
After that, Wright waited to see if the New Jersey Devils would take him second, but with Devils' loaded with centers decided to select Juraj Slafkovsky's teammate blue liner Simon Nemec.

If I was Shane Wright I'd be much happier being a Seattle kraken then a Arizona Coyote. The Kraken have a new state of the art arena and the Arizona Coyotes are playing in a 4,700 seat University Hockey Team's Arena.
