Jeremy Roenick had a great stint in Philadelphia between 2001 and 2004, registering 173 points in 216 games. Since he took his retirement, Roenick has always been vocal and he proved it once again today.

Mike Yeo took the decision to scratch Keith Yandle today to make some place to the young players of the organization like Ronnie Attard. However, there's some people who really didn't appreciate this move, including Roenick.

"I never thought I'd be this disappointed in the @NHLFlyers, one of my favorite teams ever Scratching Yandle is beyond disrespectful and sends the wrong message of loyalty to the players and fans of the NHL (...) The team is not making playoffs what's the message here!? Mike Yeo, you should be ashamed. What Keith has accomplished is truly remarkable, and to take that away from him(...) What free agent would ever wanna play for Mike Yeo now? The team is trying to rebuild and you pull a move like this truly unbelievable! Im very disappointed to be a Flyers fan right now! " said Roenick on Twitter.

Roenick isn't the only former NHLer to have reacted like this after hearing the Yandle news.

Even if it's disappointing for Yandle, he hasn't played well since practically the start of the season. If he wasn't on this impressive streak, he would already have been scratch. And with the infusion of young players into the team, Yeo had to make some tough decisions. But at the end of the day, the Flyers interim head coach did the right thing here.
