Trevor Zegras is going to be the face of the NHL, along with other young players, in the future. This league needs players like him.
However, this doesn't seem to be the perspective of other people around the NHL.
Last night, a big scrum took place in front of the Coyotes net in their game against the Ducks. Jay Beagle cross-checked Trevor Zegras before just beating Troy Terry for no obvious reasons.

It was pretty unnecessary. However, there is something worse. The reaction of the Coyotes broadcast, who justified Beagle's actions by saying that Zegras wants to embarrass guys just because he attempted the Michigan...
"That's the problem with these young players. You wanna embarrass guys? You wanna skill it up? You better be prepared to get punched in the mouth."
This is the problem. Too much people covering the NHL still have that old-school mentality. We have to move forward and embrace those young players who aren't afraid to show their personality.
Oh, and you shouldn't beat up somebody because he shows his skills on the ice...
