After yesterday's thrilling 4-3 win over the Nashville Predators, the Buffalo Sabres paid homage to their longtime play-by-play announcer Rick Jeanneret.
Jeanneret, 79 began his career way back in the 1971-72 season and has announced every Sabres' season excluding their first. Known as RJ by the fans, Jeanneret will call the last few games in April before hanging up the mic for good.
They called the event RJ night and die hard fans and players alike all got to enjoy the occasion. Players wore a special RJ patch during the game and the event also featured a video tribute.
What an illustrious way to end a beautiful career in hockey.
