The Flyers are considering bringing back this defenseman next season

Many people around the league didn't understand the decision of the Flyers to scratch Keith Yandle. He was 11 games away from the mark of 1000 consecutive games played.

Why didn't they scratch Nick Seeler instead of Yandle? The former isn't a young player and he doesn't have an important streak like Yandle going on.

Well, there is an explanation. According to Anthony SanFilippo, the Flyers want to see Nick Seeler playing with someone other than Yandle. The team is considering bringing him back as a 7-8th defenseman so they want to take another look at him before making a decision.




This year, Seeler played 42 games and registered 3 points. He signed a one-year deal during the most recent offseason with the Flyers.
