Former Flyer won the Olympic Gold medal with Finland

For the first time in history, Finland won the Olympic Gold medal at the hockey tournament against the Russian team. Valtteri Filppula, former Flyer forward, was a part of that team.

However, Flyers goalie prospect Ivan Fedotov was on the losing side, but he made 29 saves on 31 shots. During the tournament, the 6 foot 7 goaltender registered a 1.61 goals-against average and a .943 save percentage.
