On Sunday, the struggling Ottawa Senators announced changes to their front office as they look to steer the franchise in the right direction. Among the new additions was former Flyers captain Dave Poulin who adds another stop on his impressive resume. Poulin joins the Senators as the Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations.

Poulin was extremely successful in his eight seasons with the Flyers and was tasked with the challenge of becoming the next captain after the exit of the legendary Bobby Clarke. Poulin did so successfully as he served as captain for six seasons. Poulin was with the Flyers from 1982-1990 as he racked up 161 goals, 233 assists, and 394 points in 467 games played.
After the Flyers, Poulin went on to play for the Boston Bruins before finishing his career in Washington DC with the Capitals.
After his playing career, Poulin went on to coach his alma mater, the University of Notre Dame, for ten seasons before becoming a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs front office in 2013. In 2014 Poulin joined TSN as an radio and TV analyst before landing his most recent job with the Senators.
