With the holiday's come and gone, Flyers fans have some great opportunities to dawn their new gear they received for the holidays as the Flyers have some great home matchups in the month of January. From NHL superstars to old rivals, the Flyers welcome some of the NHL's best to the Wells Fargo Center this month. If you're looking to go a game, here are some of the best matchups.
Thursday, January 4 vs Columbus Blue Jackets
Flyers fans have the opportunity to welcome one of their hometown guys back to Philly as New Jersey native
Johnny Gaudreau and the Blue Jackets come to town. Flyers fans have heard Gaudreau many times talk about his love for the city and the fans as he grew up just 30 minutes or so from the Flyers facility. Gaudreau's name has also been thrown around in a number of trade rumors for the Flyers and previously, free agency rumors in the summer of 2022. It will be interesting to see the reception Gaudreau receives when he takes the ice as an opponent in the city of brotherly love.
Monday, January 8 vs Pittsburgh

Pens. Flyers. What else is there more to say? Just as serious as Eagles v Cowboys, Phillies v Mets, and Sixers v Celtics, the city of Philadelphia takes great pride in the Flyers vs Penguins rivalry. With the Penguins having an extremely slow start and the Flyers four spots ahead of them in the division standings, the Wells Fargo Center is sure to be rocking when the Penguins come to town.
Saturday, January 20 vs Colorado
The Flyers welcome the best team in the Western Conference for a Saturday matinee at the Wells Fargo Center as the Flyers will go for the season sweep. The Flyers had a dominant performance against the Avalanche back in December as they scored five goals so the Avs will surely be looking for revenge. Flyers fans will also have the opportunity to see one of the NHL's top stars in Nathan Mackinnon who is second in the NHL in points and first in assists.
Tuesday, January 23 vs Tampa Bay
The Lightning have been one of the best organizations in the NHL in the past ten seasons and have showcased some Hall-of-Fame level talent. On Jan. 23, Flyers fans will have the opportunity to see potential MVP
Nikita Kucherov as well as future Hall-of-Famers in
Steven Stamkos and Andrei Vasilevsky,
Saturday, January 27 vs Boston
Another historic rivalry between two historic cities will take place as the Flyers welcome the Bruins to town. Another nationally televised Saturday Matinee game, the Flyers will be tasked with the litmus test as they take on the NHL's best club so far this season. The Bruins currently sit atop the East and are a force to be reckoned with the usual crew of
