Former Flyers prospect doing amazing work for the Admirals.
Sometimes bad luck can rain down on teams when they select a player at the draft. All the indicators show that the player would become a regular with the team. However, sometimes whether it's bad luck or injuries or the player is not interested to play, the team has no choice but to move them.
This seems to apply to former Flyers prospect Isaac Radcliffe. He was selected in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft in the second round by the Flyers in the second round, 35th overall.
At 6 foot 6 and 200 pounds, the Flyers had high hopes that Ratcliffe would fill out their bottom six forwards. After the COVID pandemic passed and a slew of injuries plagued Ratcliffe, the 24-year-old left winger was sent to the Nashville Predators for future considerations.
He produced some late-game heroics during last night's game against the Texas Stars when Ratcliffe scored the game-winner and he didn't even realize he won the game at first.
During his time with the Flyers, he played ten NHL games, scored one goal with three assists for four points and had ten penalty minutes.
With the NHL draft looming, the Flyers are getting their draft list ready and will pick 7th overall in the first round.
