Former NHL enforcer Sean Avery has never been one to be shy around his thoughts in life. Whether it's about other NHL players dating his ex-girlfriends or his political and social views, Avery makes everyone clear on his stance.
Yesterday on his latest podcast episode, Avery weighed in on his views about Provorov's choice not to wear a jersey that displayed a rainbow to signify the support for the gay community by the Flyers. He also goes on to criticize some pundits and their comments and showed his support for Tyler Bertuzzi and his recent decisions.
Provorov has made it clear on his views on the incident and will no longer comment on it. He has the support of his coach who also made his support apparent when asked at the post-game press conference.
It is certainly a subject that has affected many fans who are with or without Provorov. And time will tell to see how this will play out. With Provy having been in the trade rumor market before this incident it will be interesting to see how the Flyers organization handles this situation.
