In May 2021, a former elite hockey player, known for his credentials from playing in Tre Kronor, was arrested on suspicion of assault, attempted r*pe, and r*pe.
Now, two years later, charges have been brought against him for all three offenses, all allegedly committed on the same day.
According to the indictment, the man is accused of grabbing a woman's neck, hitting her with a clenched fist, and committing r*pe. This comes after a previous investigation into unlawful threats and sexual harassment, which was dropped at that time.

The plaintiff's assistant, Elisabeth Massi Fritz, criticized the initial decision to dismiss certain serious crimes despite supporting evidence. Thanks to her request for a review, a new prosecution has now emerged, focusing on extremely serious crimes.
The evidence against the accused includes SMS conversations and statements from several witnesses, supporting the allegations.
The plaintiff hopes for compensation and a conviction for the perpetrator. However, the long waiting time and incorrect assessment during the preliminary investigation have taken a toll on her well-being.
The accused man, represented by lawyer Nicolaus Rubensson, denies all criminal suspicions as per the indictment. The trial is expected to take place in the autumn.
