There was an awful day for Girardi, as Tortorella pulled him off the ice, and Girardi got pissed at Tortorella for doing this and shot the puck at him.
After the incident, he failed to take responsibility, similar to a cowardly lion avoiding his actions.
The fact that Tortorella didn't chirp his lousy shot after the fact surprises me, but Girardi couldn't even make a shot that day that would have saved his life, so there's that.
