Oliver Bonk, who was selected 22nd overall in the first round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, is hugely excited to be a member of the Philadelphia Flyers organization.

It was 29 years ago when Bonk's father was drafted by the Ottawa Senators, 29 years apart from the day he was drafted.
Oliver Bonk mentioned that his father, a former NHLer, played games in his career in front of the crazy Philadelphia fans:

«He said the fans were crazy when he played I know that they're still probably some of the best fans in sports»

In his final year in the NHL, Bonk played for the Nashville Predators, where he had an extensive NHL career.
According to Radek, Philadelphia has some of the most diehard fans in the league, and he said they were some of the most dedicated fans there are.
As a team, it has been some time since the team has played any significant post-season games, but with this last draft and the start of the rebuild, there is hope that the team will regain their past glory in due course, as young talent will be dripping in over time.
