Freidman reveals Flyers defenseman in talks with Eastern team.
With many weeks behind the trade deadline, stories continue to emerge from NHL insiders and ponderance who have had their ears to the ground and have discovered potential trade talks that happened but never went further as they were kicking tires.
Sportsnet insider and podcaster of the 32 Thoughts Elliotte Friedman was a guest on the Nasty Knuckles podcast. He revealed that before the Ottawa Senators made the deal for Jakub Chychrun they had their eye on another defenseman who played for the Flyers.
During the interview, Friedman did not reveal the name of the Flyers defenseman in question, however, one could guess that it would have been beleaguered defenseman Ivan Provorov.

Provorov had been in the news quite a bit about his pride night jersey incident and the fact that he was not satisfied with the Flyers organization.
With the Flyers closing out their season and beginning to shift their work into evaluation and rebuilding, it remains to be seen how they will move forward and who they will draft in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft.
The Flyers' next game will be on the road against the Ottawa Senators on March 30th. Game time will be 7:00 PM eastern
