Claude Giroux is very attached to the City of Philadelphia.

He played for only one team in his career, and it seems obviously difficult for him to be surrounded by all those trade rumours. However, he still wants to compete for a Stanley Cup, which his current team can't do this year.
A couple weeks ago, a reporter for the Avalanche said that Giroux has made a list of teams where he would accept to go if he was traded. This rumour has been shutdown by a lot of insiders, but the fact that the Flyers would prefer to trade him is staying the same.
According to Anthony Di Marco, Claude Giroux recently met with GM Chuck Fletcher to address a possible move at the deadline. The Flyers captain doesn't seem to have a preferred destination, as long as the team in question is a legit candidate to win the Stanley Cup.
The last word is still in Giroux's mouth. He have a No Movement clause, so basically, if he don't want to be traded, the Flyers will not move him, and he will certainly extend his contract with the team.
