This morning, Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher and special advisor to the GM Danny Brière held a Q&A with season ticket holders to discuss the team's plans and ambitions moving forwards. One of the more interesting questions asked was about the current prospect pool and how their developments are coming along.

"Can you give us some information on some of the non-professional prospects that we have? The kids who are currently playing in college or juniors who will be coming up in the next year or two,"asked a fan.

Since Brière had recently been the President and Governor of Flyers' affiliate Maine Mariners, he knew the prospects well.

GM Chuck Fletcher stated the same saying,
"Danny has spent time in player development the last couple years and he's done a lot of work with some of these kids, so I'll let him speak to this."

Brière was quick to remind fans not to give up on Morgan Frost yet. Telling us that Frost had been dealing with injuries and even missed all of the 2021 season with injury. He then pointed out Tyson Foerster as a special player with size and shooting ability. He's the best prospect the Flyers have for the moment.
"Tyson Foerster is, I think, a special prospect. He can really shoot the puck. When we talk about finding a shooter who has size I'm hoping he develops. He really wants it. He wants to be at the rink. He's a rink rat. That's a really good thing."

Bobby Brink who leads the nation in scoring in the NCAA is another player to watch out for and with regards to guys like Ratcliffe, York, Attard, Allison and Zamula, Brière sees them as full time NHLers next season.
Lastly, in terms of this season, Brière is optimistic and assured fans that although the year wasn't what we expected there's always a positive.
"When you have a season like this year, there are different opportunities that come up that you really didn't expect. One of those, although we really didn't expect it, is we're going to have a pretty high draft pick and we have to make sure that we don't miss out on this pick this year. It could be a special talent to make a difference for us for many years to come."

As it stands right now, the Flyers are fifth last in the league giving them an 8.5 percent chance of drafting first. In a draft without a consensus number one pick, this means that any of the top 10 are likely to be key NHL stars. Not necessarily a bad way to end this year.
