With Martin Jones probably gone by the trade deadline, the Flyers will certainly try to find a goaltender capable to be the backup for Carter Hart next season.

Chuck Fletcher said that two goaltenders will battle for this position next year: Ivan Fedotov and Felix Sandstrom.
Fedotov just went to the Olympic Final with the Russian Olympic Comitee. He was arguably the best goaltender of the tournament, posting a 4-2-0 record, a 1.61 goals against average and a .943 save percentage. He also played 26 games in the KHL with the CSKA Moscow this season, presenting a 2.00 GAA and a .919 save percentage.
In the case of Felix Sandstrom, he played one game this season with the Flyers, as he stopped 43 of the 46 shots directed at him against the Sharks. In the AHL, the 25-year-old goalie won 8 of the 23 games he played with Lehigh Valley, posting a 3.05 goals against average and a .895 save percentage.
There's clearly a favourite for the moment, which is Fedotov. He was a monster during the Olympics and his play in the KHL also showed that he could be a very good backup goalie at the NHL level.
With that being said, it's his spot to lose. Sandstrom will surely do everything he can to begin the season in the NHL next year.
