The Philadelphia Flyers will hope to extend their two-game win streak when they play the Detroit Red Wings tonight at Wells Fargo Center. This will be the first game of a back-to-back series with the Wings.

Tonight's game will mark Derick Brassard's long awaited return from injury after missing 11 games due to a hip injury. The 34-year-old's contract is set to expire this summer after signing an $825,000 contract in the summer.

GM Chuck Fletcher will have his hands full as the deadline approaches on Mar. 21. With the recent announcement of Daniel Danny' Brière's appointment as the special assistant to general manager, you have to think the Flyers will be busy.
Despite boasting a modest (15-22-8) record this season, the Flyers have a lot still to play for. Rasmus Ristolainen, Claude Giroux, Keith Yandle and Justin Braun are just some notable UFA's out of contract come season's end. Teams may be looking for a top-six center, and the coveted right handed defenseman. If Fletcher manages to part ways with his top guys, an embarrassment of riches may be on the way to Philly.
The Red Wings are (20-21-6) on the season and are looking to chase down a playoff berth as the ninth seed in the east.
