Here's why Flyers fans should not be very enthusiastic for next season

The Flyers started the campaign pretty well, but things got awfully bad after. So, what's next?

Chuck Fletcher said multiple times that he wanted to make an "aggressive retool" in order to be competitive next year. But, are they going to be good next year?

If you look in the past, teams that had seasons as bad as the Flyers had this year don't make the playoffs the next campaign.

BroadStreetHockey reported 22 teams that had a season with at least a minus-60 goal differential. Out of those 22, only 3 made the playoffs the next year.

It's going to be extremely difficult for Fletcher to build a team that will make the playoffs next season. When you look at the roster and the cap situation of the team, the GM will have to make a LOT of changes. And when your cap situation isn't ideal, it's difficult to make a big turnaround on your roster.
