John Tortorella meets with media

Tuesday night saw the Flyers long, arduous and entertaining road trip come to a close as they fell to the Oilers 5-2 in Edmonton. As the Flyers saw their fifth loss in six games, head coach John Tortorella and other Flyers players met with the media before they headed home to Philly. Here are the biggest takeaways.

The biggest takeaway from Coach Tortorella's time with the media is that he is still calm and collected and not overreacting to the slump the team fell into during the road trip.
"There's no magic to it. We just have to get ready to play a game. Just gotta try to put more minutes together, try to get more guys rolling and go play. We're going to leave, go home and just get ready to play our next game."

After earning two points with a goal and an assist against Edmonton, Travis Konecny pointed out both the play of Joel Farabee on the line along with the improvement of their powerplay offense.
"Joel's a great player and it's nice playing with him...On the powerplay you can tell there's some chemistry coming. We've been a pretty solid unit on both sides so we're getting more comfortable of knowing where guys are going to be at."
The next to speak with the media was goalie Carter Hart who, although was dissappointed in the loss, was happy with the way they battled five on five and sense that the Flyers can play with anyone in the league.
"You gotta battle. They've got a ton of skill on that team but at the end of the day we just couldn't get it done. Five on five we're right there with them. We can compete but they won the special teams battle tonight. They have a lot of chemistry and have played with each other for a while and you can see it."
