Former Dallas Stars defenceman John Klingberg has been looking for a new home ever since becoming a unrestricted free agent July 13th. Yesterday Klingberg frustrated that he hasn't been signed by anyone yet decided to fire his agent representing him Peter Wallen. Klingberg would then sign with a very well respected agency in "New Port Sports Management."
We have now learned Klingberg's desired asking price according to hockey insider Frank Seravali John Klindberg was looking at a 7 year deal close to $6M per season when the UFA market began. Klingberg is currently at number two on Luke Fox's top remaining UFA's, the 27 year-old right handed defenceman was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the 5th round 131st over back in 2010's draft.
Klingberg has played all of his 552 NHL games with the stars scoring a total of 71 goals, 303 assists, for a total of 374 points. Klingberg made $4,250,000 million dollars last season he's been linked to three teams so far this summer via the Hockey Witters. Those teams are the Ottawa Senators, Seattle kraken, and Montreal Canadiens.
