Hockey legend wants Russian players to be suspended by the NHL

Yesterday, Alex Ovechkin reacted for the first time during a press conference on the war in Ukraine. He issued an anti-war statement, by saying he hoped that the war will end soon. He added that we have to live in peace.
With that being said, it didn't seem enough for some people. Dominik Hasek, one of the greatest legends in the NHL, went even further by saying that every Russian players should be suspended by the NHL.
"The NHL must immediately suspend contracts for all Russian players! Every athlete represents not only himself and his club, but also his country and its values and actions. That is a fact. If the NHL does not do so, it has indirect co-responsibility for the dead in Ukraine," -Dominik Hasek.
