Jeff Petry is not going to be a Montreal Canadien much longer. We know that. Either by this trade deadline or by the draft (in MTL), Petry is likely going to be on an American team.
One interesting piece in a potential Habs Flyers deal is Isaac Ratcliffe. Nick Suzuki's old teammate.
NHL DRAFT RANKINGS on Twitter speculates whether the Habs management would seek to reunite the pair in Montreal.
"I wonder if a trade could include Nick Suzuki's ex-linemate Isaac Ratcliffe. A project at this point, but the 6'6» who just turned 23 still have untapped potential."
The pair played together during the 2018-2019 OHL season with Guelph, winning the OHL title. In the final game, Suzuki scored Guelph's 5th goal of the night.
Ratcliffe had 2 goals. One assisted by Suzuki who won the playoffs MVP. Clearly the pair had chemistry.
Ratcliffe is not washed yet and if a Petry deal happens, we totally see the Habs be all in on him.
