A very animated first period between the Flyers and the Capitals (video)

Well, that was a hell of a period between the Flyers and the Capitals.

The good news is that after 20 minutes, Claude Giroux and Cam Atkinson (finally!) scored to give Philadelphia a 2-0 lead. The Flyers captain put the puck in the back of the net after only 11 seconds into the game.


Cam Atkinson scored his 18th of the season at the end of the period.



But we have to thank Rasmus Ristolainen, he initiated the play with a huge hit at the end of a Washington powerplay.


Finally, Zack MacEwen and Tom Wilson fought and it was entertaining to watch!
