Is Chuck Fletcher Finally Being Fired by The Philadelphia Flyers? Multiple Flyers Reporters Speak
Among the rumours going around the Flyers these days, one certainly caught my attention regarding General Manager Chuck Fletcher. Rumours suggest he may step aside and remain president. The GM role would be taken over by Danny Briere until the franchise finds it's new one.
It would certainly be a major shift for the Flyers organization, there are too many inconsistencies in the front office and with coach John Tortorella. To right the ship, the Flyers would be better off bringing in another veteran general manager to work with Fletcher. In addition, they would have to find a person who is willing to work with coach Tortorella.
The future will tell whether this organization plans to undergo a major overhaul or stay the same. I would guess it would be some kind of overhaul.
