Ivan Provorov is frustrated, I think everyone knows this. He's got called out a lot this season by the fans and the reporters that are covering the Flyers. Two days ago, he said that whatever he does, he was going to be graded by the reporters.

Here's his full quote.
Yesterday, Kevin Kinkead, from Crossing Broads, made an interesting parallel between the defenseman and Ben Simmons, former 76ers, who got traded for James Harden at the NBA deadline earlier this season.

Kinkead said that even if Provorov didn't get much help from the organization - he played the vast majority of his career with players that didn't completed him well - he still has to show that he's still tough mentally. That's what "winners" does.
"I understand why Provy is frustrated, but when the going got tough he didn't rise to the occasion, he more or less wilted, and now that's manifesting in snarky and pointless media interactions. If you don't like the media or the criticism, so be it, but winners grow thicker skin and show accountability while losers radiate loser energy," said Kinkead.

He finished his piece with the comparison with Ben Simmons and Carson Wentz.
"It's up to Provy to decide if he wants to be the next Ben Simmons and Carson Wentz, or whether he wants to put a crap season in the rearview mirror and take the next positive step forward, be it here or somewhere else (...) Provorov can likewise say whatever he wants as long as he backs it up on the ice. You just have to be careful not to present yourself as a big baby," wrote Kinkead.

You can read the full piece here. It's a great article.
