Joel Farabee has not been the same player since returning from an injury that he sustained last season. Near the end of the season, Farabee suffered a neck injury and had disc replacement surgery in his neck during the summer.
Since his return, he has had a disappointing season and has watched his stock drop down to the 4th line of Morgan Frost and Patrick Brown.
The 22-year-old left winger was drafted in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft first-round fourteenth choice overall. He has played 51 games and has scored nine goals with 16 assists for 25 points. Most nights while playing he seems to look out of sorts and often looks injured.

Having neck surgery certainly can be a frightening experience as it's an area of the body that could have major issues if complications are found.
Hopefully, he can find his groove back and find his way back up the lineup as being a first-round draft choice he should be in the top 6. Time will tell if he will do that and if torts will put his trust in him for those minutes.
