John Tortorella Gets Brutally Honest Regarding Sean Couturier's Second Back Surgery
As the 2022-2023 season began there was a thought that Sean Couturier would make his triumphant return to the Flyers lineup.
Having been a key member of their top six and just securing an 8 years $62 million contract extension in 2021 And then being told that he required back surgery it certainly put a sting on this season.
Since then, his name was mentioned briefly from time to time but mostly he's remained out of sight as he continues to rehab from his surgery. Recently, Head coach John Tortorella was asked about Coots's return to the lineup this season.
Torts stated that he hasn't even thought about it and that it would be no to playing.
