After the Devils horrid season in 2021-22 expectations seemed to be low, but the team came out firing on all cylinders and hasn't looked back since.

The hot start has earned them a 16-3-0 record good for second overall in the entire NHL, behind only - The Boston Bruins.
For Devils fans, thoughts and feelings are very positive and happy, but the doubters are still very alive.
In fact, recently Keith Yandle, shared his thought's about the Devils odds to win the Stanley Cup and/or have playoff success for that matter.
Must read on FlyersInsider
And it won't sit too well with Devils fans.
«No, I don't even think they're going to make the playoffs,» said Yandle about the Devils playoff chances.
Yandle then tried to explain his reasoning, but it's hard to agree with him at this point, as the Devils success has been a group effort with production coming from widely throughout their lineup.
As far as analytics go, you'd be hard-pressed to fine a team who's looked better.
"The Devils are all about high event hockey this season," said Meghan Chayka, co-founder of Stathletes. "This team is operating like an offensive juggernaut.«
Chayka also continued to say this about the Devils.
Chayka notes that the Devils are the best team in the NHL at generating shots off the rush through 16 games, averaging 14.9 shots per game at event strength. The league average is 11.8 shots.
«The quality of chances has contributed to the Devils leading the NHL in expected goals (3.46 per 60 minutes) and high danger shot attempts (15.72 per 60 minutes) at even strength.»
Analysts are known to be either yin or yan, and not all viewers will be pleased with their takes and comments. But this seems like an I told you so, and potentially a take that will come back to bite Yandle come playoff time.
