Kevin Hayes' 600th Career Game Was One You'll Want to See

Throughout this season, Kevin Hayes has been in the spotlight both positively and negatively. Earlier on he received a couple of games benched to the press box due to his poor play defensively in the eyes of head coach John Tortorella. This sparked several comments and opinions about whether this was a good plan or not by the coach.

On the other hand, one certainly cannot ignore that Kevin Hayes has had one of his best seasons on the score sheet. He played his 600th game tonight and he scored two power-play goals. One was quite amazing to see, he received a quick pass from Noah Cates and banked it off David Rittich at an impossible angle.
Afterward, early in the third with the game 3-2 in favor of the Jets, Morgan Frost sent a sharp quick pass over to Hayes which he blasted past Rittich to tie the game up 3-3.

Hayes has played 48 games this season and has 17 goals and 28 assists for 45 points. say all you want about his defensive deficiencies, he's having quite the year offensively. Tonight's game will be one he will remember.
The Flyers will face the LA Kings on Tuesday January 24th. Game will be 7:00pm
