The Philadelphia Flyers are ready to rebuild, with Ivan Provorov already moved and players like Travis Konecny, Carter Hart, Scott Laughton, and Kevin Hayes up for trade.

Hayes, a Massachusetts native, has drawn interest from the Boston Bruins, who are looking to strengthen their center position. However, the Bruins' limited cap space could complicate a potential deal, requiring the Flyers to retain salary and possibly receive players in return.
Hayes, who is a Massachusetts native, could certainly be a strong addition to Boston's lineup. The center position is certainly concerning for Boston moving forward, as Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci are retirement candidates, while Tomas Nosek is a pending UFA. Thus, this is an area Boston should be looking to improve this summer, and bringing in Hayes would do just that.

Hayes had a solid 2022-23 season with 18 goals and 54 points in 81 games. The Bruins' pursuit of the hometown kid adds an intriguing storyline to watch.
