Travis Konecny has been the most consistent point-getter on the Flyers for the past few years. He has played his entire career thus far with the Flyers, having been drafted 24th overall in the first round of the 2015 draft. He was expected to be the main point-getter as he was pegged for the top 6.

Despite some injury troubles, he's been a dangerous player and a constant scoring threat to any opponent who plays against him. During last year's season, he only played 60 games, scoring 31 goals with 30 assists for 61 points and accumulating 77 penalty minutes.
Fast forward to this year, TK now has Sean Couturier returning to the lineup and is eager to make a difference in the Flyers' offence.
During one of several media interviews, TK was asked about his energy after a whistle has blown and he engages in scrums. Here are his thoughts.

It appears that he is willing to save some of his energy and put it towards offence, which means scoring goals and getting points. He is in the final two years of his deal, worth 5.5 million per season, and with the Flyers eligible to sign him to an extension after this season is over, it's expected that he will perform to the best of his abilities as he looks for a big payday.
Since the Flyers are in a rebuilding phase, there have been numerous rumours throughout the NHL of trading TK to another organization to acquire assets and draft picks for his services.
It's a tough decision to make as he is 26 years old and has plenty to offer in his career. A player like him is hard to find, and if he posts amazing stats this year, it will strengthen the idea of signing him long-term and building around him.
