Kyle Dubas is already fixing Ron Hextalls mistakes
Many consider Kyle Dubas to be a young and talented NHL General Manager with a strong analytical approach.
Unfortunately, after an uncertain press conference and contract offer, he was unexpectedly let go from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
One of Kyle Dubas' first orders of business in Pittsburgh was to make front office changes: Alec Schall (dir of hockey strategy), Teena Murray (SVP of sports science/performance) and Kerry Huffman (dir of pro scouting) were all fired on Thursday.
All three were Hextall hires.

However, he quickly landed a new role as President of Hockey Operations for the Pittsburgh Penguins. With Dubas at the helm, the Metropolitan Division should take notice.
He has already begun to reshape the front office to his liking, replacing personnel from the previous Ron Hextall era.
With the Penguins experiencing changes in ownership and leadership this season, Dubas will likely continue to bring in people he trusts.
While it remains to be seen if the SOO connection will continue in Pittsburgh, Dubas has wasted no time in correcting Hextall's mistakes.
