The Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang had a dreadful year in 2022, and it sadly carried over into the next year.
After having his second stroke a little over a month ago, Letang was unable to play. However, he made a speedy recovery and was back in practice on December 8.
Letang recently missed a game due to an injury; now, concerning new information indicates that he will be out permanently due to something far more serious.
Letang and the Penguins got the tragic news this morning as they were preparing for today's Winter Classic game against the Boston Bruins in Boston. Letang planned to attend the gamewith his team even though he wasn't going to participate because of his injury.
Us here at Flyers Insider send our deepest condolences to the Letang friends and family.
