Saturday afternoon was a tough one for the Flyers as they were dominated 6-2 by the Eastern Conferences top dog in the Boston Bruins. The Flyers thankfully head into the All-Star break after a week that saw the Flyers drop five straight games, have one of their top players head to the injured list, and lose their top goalie indefinitely.
Although the Flyers performance on Saturday was less than ideal, one Flyer came close to pulling off a highlight-reel goal with his attempt of what is called a "Michigan Goal."
By definition a Michigan goal is defined as:
"A goal scored by an attacker starting behind the opposing net, lifting the puck onto their stick, moving their stick around to a top corner of the net, and shooting the puck into the net at close range."

On Saturday, Flyers forward Joel Farabee attempted it and actually, came real real close to pulling it off.
Although Flyers head coach John Tortorella comes off as a strict, hard-nosed coach; Torts and Farabee actually shared a moment after the attempt as he used it as a learning moment and laughed with Farabee.
