Sunday afternoon was one to forget for Philadelphia fans as the Eagles put their season on the ropes as they fell to the three-win Arizona Cardinals 35-31 in the final seconds at home. Before the game, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray trolled Philadelphia fans with his jersey choice.
Murray arrived to Lincoln Financial Field dawning a Sidney Crosby Penguins jersey, instantly sending Philadelphia sports fans on social media into a frenzy. Crosby is a known rival and disliked by almost, if not all Philadelphia sports fans.
Whether it's the three Stanley Cups, constant media attention, or consistently beating the Flyers, few hockey players have been hated by Philadelphia fans more than Sidney Crosby.
It was only fitting that Murray dawned the jersey of someone who has been a thorn in the side of Philadelphia sports fans as Murray was a thorn in the Eagles' side all afternoon as he threw for three touchdowns including the game winning touchdown.
Murray didn't say if he intentionally wore the jersey in spite of Philadelphia fans but if there is one thing learned after Sunday is that both Kyler Murray and Sidney Crosby might have a hard time getting free drinks in the city of Philadelphia.
