On Friday, the Chicago Blackhawks completed a huge trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning, as they obtained 2 first round picks and two young players for Brandon Hagel and a couple of fourth round draft picks.
However, Darren Dreger taught us that Hagel and Marc-André Fleury were very close to join the Maple Leafs for two first round picks, Peter Mrazek and Matthew Knies. Obviously, it didn't go through.
Yesterday, Maple Leafs' GM Kyle Dubas reacted to this rumour and he clearly wasn't happy with the leak.
"I'm disappointed that that conversation is public. I've never had that before where the specifics like that have been made public. Frankly, it's probably something to ask Kyle Davidson at his availability," said Kyle Dubas.
Chicago's GM Kyle Davidson said that he was aware of Dubas' comments and that he will address it with him in private.
