The Philadelphia Flyers fandom have been without hockey for a few months now, leaving all eyes directed at Matvei Michkov.

All NHL reporters and analysts have been watching Michkov's every move, especially after being benched for three straight games by SKA HC Roman Rotenberg.
Rotenberg and Michkov failed to meet eye to eye, leading to the inevitable of Matvei Michkov being loaned to HC Sochi; in order to get the playing time he deserved to better develop his game. However, originally, the 18-year-old wanted to be loaned elsewhere.
On Wednesday morning, Sport-Express Alexei Shevchenko reported that Matvei Michkov initially wanted to go on loan to Dynamo Minsk. Meaning he would have joined another Philadelphia Flyers' prospect in Dynamo.

Michkov originally did not want to sign with Sochi at the start of the season, due to his fathers passing, bringing up bad memories when he thinks of Sochi
Returning back to Sochi will probably be tough for Matvei Michkov. His father sadly passed away well he was with Sochi, so it carries some bad memories for him. However, it should be good for his development and I'm sure he is proud to honour his dad.
Goaltender Alexei Kolosov signed his entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers back in July. All though the Flyers' did the KHL a solid in loaning Kolosov back to Dynamo Minsk for the 2023-24 regular season.
Putting Michkov and Kolosov on the same team is a Flyers' fan dream, it would be a sneak peak at what may be to come in the near future! Unfortunately, it appears fans will have to wait a little longer.
