Matvei Michkov Continues To Impress During KHL Preseason

Michkov scored during Saint Petersburg's last preseason game and was a valuable contributor despite playing fewer minutes than usual. Michkov was playing top six minutes throughout the KHL preseason; however, on Tuesday he was designated as an additional player and will fill in as necessary. As a result, he occasionally paired up with the first and second lines while playing fourth-line minutes.

Matvei Michkov can score from practically any spot on the ice, doing it both from a distance and up close. He was able to bury the rebound after his own shot was tipped and scored as a result. The KHL preseason is finished for Saint Petersburg after this contest, while the start of the regular season, on September 1, is just a few weeks away. Michkov put in a productive performance and hopes to make a big impression in his first full season with SKA.
