The Flyers certainly lost one of their most versatile member in Claude Giroux. At one point in the season, the former captain of the team was playing at center because there was too much injuries at this position.

Yesterday, the absence of Derick Brassard - who left for Edmonton - freed up a spot in the middle of the ice, so Mike Yeo had no choice but to play with 11 forwards and 7 defensemans.
The first line, composed by James Van Riemsdyk and Joel Farabee didn't have a center so the latter took some shifts at this position. According to his own words, Farabee felt comfortable out there.
"Out in the d-zone, I felt pretty comfortable down there. It creates a lot of opportunity. You can touch the puck a little bit more just because you're always under it. It's a work in progress, something I want to add to my game," said Farabee.

If so, could Mike Yeo continue this experience until the end of the season? I mean, the Flyers don't have anything to lose at the moment. They will not make the playoffs so making some experiences until the end of the season is affordable.
If it works, it could give the team another option on the ice, and his versatility could become a very useful thing. Farabee has been on a roll lately, registering six points in his last cinq games. Since Yeo took over, he's on a 65 points season pace.
