Milan Lucic explains what Flyers fans knew for years.
Throughout the years and decades with the Flyers organization, there's been a sense that The Champions of the 1970s who are advisors for the team continue to put their stamp on the development and the choices makes when making trades, signings or draft choices.
Many of the moves the Flyers made over the past number of years have made people scratch their heads or downright shake their heads.
Lucic, a soon-to-be unrestricted free agent who played for the Calgary Flames, explained on Nasty Knuckles podcast this very fact and that the Flyers need to move away from people like Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber and Paul Holmgren. These men were either general managers or head coaches with the team but continue to push their influence.

The question remains whether the newly minted president Keith Jones and his new general manager Danny Briere will be able to choose the players they want and build the team the way they see fit.
Flyers fans will continue to suffer long-term pain because of those other three men holding the team back.
The NHL Entry Draft will begin on June 28th and conclude on June 29th. The Flyers will choose 7th overall in this year's draft.
