The Flyers made their «big splash» in free agency, and it was now time to see what depth players needed to be signed. They bought out the remaining contract of Oskar Lindblom, who just seemed to not get back to where he was before he was diagnosed with cancer. A fresh start will be great for him and clearing the remaining of his contract will help the team. That being said, it was time to start putting the pieces together for the 2022-2023 season, and one of those pieces included one of the biggest questions marks on the Flyers roster, Morgan Frost.

Morgan Frost signed a one-year, one way contract worth $800,000.00. A player with such high hopes and potential that has been hit hard with injuries, constant in and out of lineups and just a lack of consistency. Frost will have yet another chance to prove he belongs on this team as he gets set for a full NHL season. Frost had a decent end of the season and started to show some improvement in his game. "I think toward the end of the year was probably where I was playing my best and starting to feel really good," Frost said in late April at his end-of-the-season press conference. "I'm happy with that and I think it's a good building block going into next year."
Another year and another player that needs to prove. Will Morgan Frost be the guy this year, or will he just be another draft pick bust?
