When the Toronto Maple Leafs traded away Nazem Kadri they did it feeling he was a liability due to some bad time Penalties and suspensions.
However, Kadri would use that as motivation and this past season would have the best year of his entire career including helping bring a Stanley Cup to Colorado something that hasn't happened since 2001.
Unfortunately for Kadri he would have to leave Colorado via free agency as the Avalanche don't have the cap space to re-sign Kadri long term with Nathan MacKinnon's contract extension coming up soon.
Kadri and his wife Jazzy Kadri released a statement via Instagram on how thankful they are for their time in Colorado and s very touching message to the Avalanche fanbase straight from the heart.
