The Philadelphia Flyers 2-0 dominant win against the Winnipeg Jets came with plenty to cheer about for Flyers fans. From Samuel Ersson recording a 35 save shutout to Cam Atkinson snapping his 26 straight game goalless drought, Flyers fans had a great Saturday night.
One play however, had Flyers fans holding their breath for a few seconds as Morgan Frost avoided a near devastating injury in a collision that send Frost sliding into center ice.
Towards the five minute mark in the third period, Frost was pushing the puck up the ice. As Frost shifted, he barely got past two Jets defenders who crashed into each other causing Frost to hit the ice as he slid towards the center logo.
As he slid, defenseman Travis Sanheim almost connected on a hit that would have most certainly taken Frost off the ice for a period of time. Flyers players, announcers, and fans held their breath as they watched the slow-motion replay and see that Frost avoided a major disaster.
