Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang has had a tough season up to this point. He had a serious medical scare, but fortunately was able to recover rather quickly. Letang then had a lower body injury and was set to miss time before receiving news that his father passed away.
The Penguins played last night in Tempe, but the team decided they needed to support Kris Letang and his family in person. Instead of flying back to Pittsburgh after the game, they team voted to fly to Montreal at 4AM to attend Letang's fathers funeral and be with his family. Some moments are bigger than the game. We wish the best to Kris and his family during this difficult time.
