With the exit of Ron Hextall from the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, fans thought all their ills were over. Enter Kyle Dubas, a darling of MLSE and now FSG taking two roles in the organization as GM and President of Hockey Ops.

He is temporarily GM until a new candidate is found, and he's made some befuddling moves, one of them recently being re-signing Tristan Jarry. Jarry has been the Penguins 1A as multiple star goalies have departed, from Marc-Andre Fleury to Matt Murray. However, Jarry has been injury prone, and the team has had to rely upon less-than-reliable Casey DeSmith. It's been reported that Dubas wanted to bring Murray back to Pittsburgh, but we'll never know as the transaction never truly happened. Regardless, Dubas may have shown his hand too soon and too early in his first year in the organization already.
