The decision was made, Fletcher's gone and now Flyers nation awaits to see who will emerge as the permanent general manager and president of the Flyers. Currently, the role is held by former Flyer Daniel Briere who held the position of special assistant to the general manager before the decision.

Sportsnet insider and 32 thoughts podcaster Elliotte Friedman weighs in on his ideas and what he's heard as possible people who will replace Fletcher. Names such as Eddie Olczyk, Erik Lindros and Chris Pronger have been names that have been swirling around.
Friedman shared that Eric Lindros is someone that is considered highly thought of by many people and could land a role with the organization.
I feel that Flyers ownership should consider someone who exhibits success at the hockey builder level with an extensive resume of winning hockey games, playoff rounds and championships.
This person does not have to be a former player of the Flyers or any organization. It'll be fascinating who they choose to lead the Flyers over the next number of years.
